1. Introduction

Welcome to Lookback ("we", "our" or "the Application"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information when you use our mobile trading journal application.

By using Lookback, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We DO NOT Collect

Lookback does not require traditional registration. We do not collect:

  • ❌ Emails
  • ❌ Passwords
  • ❌ Personally identifiable information (name, phone, etc.)
  • ❌ Payment data or credit cards

2.2 Information We DO Collect

  • Wallet Address: Your Hyperliquid wallet address that you use to connect to the app. This information is public on the blockchain.
  • Agent Wallet: Upon connecting, a Hyperliquid Agent Wallet is generated linked to your main wallet. This delegate wallet allows executing trades without signing each transaction individually. The Agent Wallet address is also public on blockchain.
  • Trades executed through the app: Only transactions made through Lookback, which are marked with our builder code (builder fee). These transactions are public on Hyperliquid and anyone can filter and verify them.
  • User-generated content: Posts, comments, and trading logs that you voluntarily share with the community.
  • App preferences: Desk configurations, favorite indicators and selected timeframes.

2.3 Hyperliquid Public Data

Important: We DO NOT store all your Hyperliquid data. We only save:

  • Trades executed specifically through Lookback (identifiable by the builder fee)
  • Public data necessary to display statistics in desks

All transactions on Hyperliquid are public and can be queried by anyone using your wallet address. Lookback only filters and displays trades that went through our app.

2.4 Technical Information

  • Device information: Device model, Android version, for compatibility and error diagnosis.
  • Anonymous usage data: Pages visited, features used, to improve user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

  • Identify your wallet and associate it with your profile in the app
  • Display your trades executed through Lookback on your profile
  • Calculate performance statistics (only from trades with builder fee)
  • Facilitate social features: posts, comments and community feed
  • Show your activity in the desks you belong to
  • Improve the app through anonymous usage analysis
  • Provide technical support when requested

We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing.

4. Use of Data for Trading Algorithm

4.1 Anonymous Data Collection

Lookback collects and processes anonymized data from trading strategies and operations made through the application to improve and train our trading algorithm. This information includes:

  • Trading patterns and operating styles
  • Indicators and technical configurations used
  • Selected timeframes and analysis
  • Aggregated and anonymized results statistics

4.2 Purpose and Use

This data is used exclusively for:

  • Developing and improving the Lookback internal trading algorithm
  • Identifying successful patterns and strategies
  • Improving features and recommendations in the app

4.3 Privacy Guarantees

  • Anonymization: Data is processed in a way that cannot be associated with individual users
  • Non-sharing: This data is NEVER sold or shared with third parties
  • Internal only: Is used exclusively for Lookback's algorithm development

4.4 Exclusion Right

You can request that your data not be included in algorithm training by contacting us at support@lookback.finance. When deleting your account, you can also request exclusion from the training dataset.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your information. Data sharing is limited to:

  • Public information by design: Your wallet address, trades marked with builder fee, posts and comments are public in the app and visible to all users.
  • Already public blockchain data: Hyperliquid transactions are public by nature. Lookback only filters and displays those with our builder code.
  • Hosting infrastructure: We use cloud services (Firebase, etc.) that process data under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal requirements: Only if legally required (court order, criminal investigation, etc.).

Remember: When trading on Hyperliquid, your transactions are public on the blockchain regardless of whether you use Lookback.

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Restricted access to personal data
  • Regular security monitoring
  • Secure credential storage

However, no method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information as long as you maintain an active account or as necessary to provide our services.

7.1 Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through:

Upon account deletion, the following is permanently removed:

  • Your profile and personal configuration
  • Posts and comments published
  • Private messages and chat conversations
  • App preferences and desk configurations

7.3 Data That Cannot Be Deleted

Important: The following data cannot be deleted as it exists on the public blockchain of Hyperliquid:

  • Transactions executed on the blockchain (public by nature)
  • Trade history on Hyperliquid
  • Your Agent Wallet address and linked wallet address

This data is not controlled by Lookback and is inherent to the operation of Hyperliquid.

7.4 Algorithm Training Data

Data already anonymized and used for algorithm training is retained by default. If you wish this data to be excluded from future training, you can request it at the time of account deletion.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Export your data in portable format
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Withdraw your consent

9. Minors

Lookback is rated for users 13+ years on Google Play Store. However, cryptocurrency and derivatives trading is subject to age restrictions in many jurisdictions.

User responsibility: By using Lookback to trade on Hyperliquid, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to participate in cryptocurrency trading (generally 18+ years).

Lookback is a visualization and community tool. The responsibility to comply with trading laws lies with the user.

10. Third-Party Services

Lookback integrates with external services that have their own privacy policies:

  • Hyperliquid: Decentralized exchange where you execute your trades. Your transactions are public on the blockchain. When trading from Lookback, a builder fee of 0.03% (30 basis points) applies.
  • Wallets (MetaMask, Coinbase, Trust): Tools you use to sign transactions. We do not have access to your private keys. Upon connecting, a Hyperliquid Agent Wallet is generated that allows smoother trading.
  • TradingView: Chart provider (visual rendering only, no user data sharing).
  • Firebase: Backend infrastructure for real-time database.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these services.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred and processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using Lookback, you consent to these transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the application and updating the "Last updated" date.
